Supercut Saturday: Confrontation

Close up of Lee Van Cleef's eyes as Angel Eyes from the end of the film The Good, The Bad, and The UglyA supercut is a massive compilation highlighting a very specific element of movies or television. Usually this is used to point out an overused cliché. Sometimes it is used to highlight the idiosyncrasies of a particular artist, usually an actor. These supercuts are usually used to criticize but can also be a celebration.

This supercut was assembled by Patrick Peris.  As its name implies, the supercut is about confrontations.  Epic ones.  You know in a movie when the whole film has been building up to a final showdown between the hero and the villain?  This is that.  Over and over again.  And it is freaking awesome, featuring a bunch of my favorite confrontations in cinema history.

Check it out.

Nothing tops Sergio Leone when it comes to the epic showdown.  Case closed.

Thanks to The Daily What  for posting this.  If you want to see more of Peris’s work, check out his website.
