Supercut Saturday: Cinemassacre’s Top 10 Giant Movie Monsters

an illustration of the classic KrakenA supercut is a massive compilation highlighting a very specific element of movies.  Usually this is used to point out an overused cliché.  Sometimes it is used to highlight the idiosyncrasies of a particular artist, usually an actor.  These supercuts are usually used to criticize but can also be a celebration.

I love a good monster movie.  When they are done well, they can create great scenes of tension and dread.  Even when they are giant.  And a really good monster movie will answer questions about humanity.  Think about King Kong.  So, for this week’s supercut I present Cinemassacre’s compilation of the top 10 giant movie monsters.

Check it out to see if you agree with the list.

So what did you think?  I personally think the giant tadpole is pretty awesome.  Do you think there are any that should have been on the list but weren’t?
