Lance and I are pretty big fans of Dexter. Even if we are woefully behind with the series. One of the main things that made me fall in love with the show is the opening credit sequence. It is a really cleverly designed sequence. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for experimentation. Saul Bass was one of the most amazing designers of opening title sequences in the history of cinema. He used to design all of the opening sequences for Alfred Hitchcock’s movies. Ty Mattson decided to take Saul Bass’s style and apply it to the opening sequence of Dexter.
The results are damn awesome. Check it out.
It’s a pretty glorious sequence, no? Thanks to Slashfilm for this.
