In the past, I’ve posted about a documentary about the Japanese arcade experience. Lance and I have posted many times about video games. But those things deal with only the games themselves. What about the things the games inspire people to do. Whether that be about the communities and bonds that surround games or the ingenuity necessary to take a Gameboy and turn it into a piece of DJ equipment. Beyond the Game is a documentary that explores the world that surrounds video games and the people that inhabit that world.
Also, the company producing the documentary is called Animation Ackbar. How cool is that? Answer: very. Check out the trailer for Beyond the Game embedded in this post.
