The Ebb And Flow Of The Toronto Maple Leafs’ 2011-2012 Season

A Change Of Seasons Toronto Maple Leafs 2011-2012 season videoThe 2012 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing, with the top 16 teams battling it out to get to the next round.  Some teams are doing well.  Some not so much.  And some, unfortunately, are not even involved at all.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a storied franchise.  They have won an incredible 13 Stanley Cup championships, but none since 1967, the longest drought in the NHL.  They have been struggling mightily for the past several years, and have not even qualified for the playoffs in any of the past seven seasons.

This year looked to be different with new faces in the lineup, consistent scoring, and two promising young goaltenders.  The season started off bright but crumbled in the most crucial time of the year, and the Toronto Maple Leafs once again failed to make the postseason.

The trials and tribulations of their heartbreaking season are masterfully put together in this excellent video.  I’ve shared many hockey videos before, but none made by a true filmmaker.  And if a filmmaker makes a video, well, they do it right.
